From Santa Monica and Venice to Malibu and Manhattan Beach, numerous famed areas across Los Angeles County offer residents an unparalleled waterfront lifestyle. Homes by the water don’t come cheap in LA, but even for residents not situated directly on the ocean, the beach is only a short drive away.

Beachlife Festival

Los Angeles is one of the global centers of the music industry, with massive record labels and A-list talent located within the city. Naturally, that means that LA plays host to some of the country’s biggest concerts and music festivals every year. None of these festivals are quite as unique as the Beachlife Festival.

Beachlife Festival is intended to celebrate the great coastal traditions of Southern California. It is a festival for those that love the ocean, the surfers, relaxers, and swimmers of the world. Beachlife is supposed to honor the beach lifestyle and enhance it down the road for future generations. This music festival has several different causes that proceeds go to, and it is intended as an eco-friendly occasion, without the single-use plastics many festivals utilize.

The festival is set on the sands of Redondo Beach, at 137 North Harbor Drive, from May 13th-15th. There are several different ticket options that attendees can choose from. The Three-Day General Admission tickets cost $419 and allow access to all three days of the festival. Single-Day General Admission tickets cost $159. There are several different packages for a more comprehensive experience, including the VIP package for $899, the Admiral package for $995, and the Captain package for $2999.

Over the relatively brief history of this great festival, it has featured some incredibly well-known performers. The festival debuted in 2019 and has featured famed musicians like Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Willie Nelson, Counting Crows, Cage the Elephants, and more. This year, they may have just put together their greatest lineup yet.

The 2022 lineup will have three nights of musical performances from various significant bands and live musicians. The first day is headlined by Weezer, Milky Chance, Black Pumas, and Cold War Kids. The second day will have The Smashing Pumpkins, Vance Joy, Stone Temple Pilots, and Capital Cities. The event’s last day will feature the Steve Miller Band, Sheryl Crow, and Lord Huron. The genre of these musicians ranges from pop and rock to country and indie, but all bands present are excellent live performers.

Beyond the great music, this event will also have food vendors and retail vendors. Attendees can browse various shopping options for things like crafts and clothes and even score exclusive merchandise. The food will be delicious, and the entirety of the event has an environmental focus that separates it from the typical music festival.

Redondo Beach is one of the premier beaches in Los Angeles County, a stunning area slightly removed from the bright lights of Santa Monica or Venice. But from May 13th-15th, Redondo will be filled with thousands of festival-goers attending one of the city’s newest and best music events. Beachlife Festival is a celebration of what makes the Los Angeles waterfront lifestyle enticing. With an incredible atmosphere on the sandy shores of Redondo, talented and beloved live musicians, and an environmental focus, Beachlife is a one-of-a-kind LA event.
