Adding New Life: Top 4 Kitchen Trends You Have To Try

Adding new life to your kitchen doesn’t need to come with the headache of undertaking major renovations. When looking to freshen up your space, simple details go a long way to modernize your home. Dallas based interior designer, Kim Bailey, of her eponymous design firm shares the top kitchen design trends of 2018 that’ll save you time and elevate your kitchen.

Gold Accents

“We are seeing lots of brushed gold accents that add such a lovely touch in the kitchen,” said Kim Bailey. When used correctly a gold finish can create a luxe environment for your kitchen. Weave the detailing into the decor by using the metal on cabinet handles, a faucet or light fixtures.

Bold Backsplashes

A bold backsplash is a great statement feature that can act as the main focal point of the room. Whether you decide to use glass, tiles or metal, experimenting with textures and colors is a great way to add a little pop to your kitchen.

Contrasting Color

“Contrasting color finishes in kitchens, including the use of black cabinets is also becoming very popular,” Bailey said. This timeless trend is a fresh twist to incorporate into your kitchen and never goes out of style.
