Kentucky is famous for many things, from college basketball and bluegrass music to the Cumberland Mountains and savory Southern cuisine. Among these notable aspects, its world-famous distilleries stand out, which craft the finest bourbon whiskey. The annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival, scheduled for the end of summer, does not only highlight the state’s incredible bourbon scene, but also the culture that has developed alongside it.

Celebrating its 32nd year, the Kentucky Bourbon Festival stands as one of the state’s proudest heritage events. Attendees have the opportunity to sample bourbons from multiple distilleries, buy bottles of locally produced whiskey, enjoy educational seminars, and sample some delicious food and whiskey pairings. This year, the event will run from September 15th to 17th.

The Kentucky Bourbon Festival takes place on the historic grounds of City Hall and Spalding Hall in Bardstown, also known as the Bourbon Capital of the World. Bardstown houses 11 distilleries within 16 miles of the city center, and bourbon has played a significant role in the town’s history. Visitors who want to learn more can visit the town’s Oscar Getz Museum of Bourbon History.

The Kentucky Bourbon Festival will attract thousands of bourbon enthusiasts from across the country, offering them an unforgettable experience. With more than 50 distilleries present, this event provides a unique opportunity to meet and hear from some of the biggest names in the industry. The event’s educational demonstrations and informative panel discussions enlighten attendees about the intricacies of bourbon production and the major modern trends shaping the industry.

There will also be enticing food pairings available at the festival. While wine pairings seem to be all the rage, the Kentucky Bourbon Festival takes this trend in a different direction, presenting foods that pair immaculately with superb bourbon whiskey. Also, several food trucks will be there, so come hungry.

The Bourbon Marketplace will have an assortment of bottles available for direct purchase from over 30 vendors, as well as merchandise and apparel. Attendees can discuss with vendors what separates their whiskey from the pack and browse options at varying price points.

Multiple ticketing options are available for the weekend, with the pricier ones offering additional privileges and benefits. All tickets grant access to distillery tastings, the opportunity to buy bottles from distributors, as well as enjoyment of the festival’s educational sessions, live music, and diverse food vendors. The price of a standard weekend pass is $175. You can attend additional premium events by purchasing tickets for them individually or as part of the broader ticket options.
