The 2022 Houston Boat Show is a major event that showcases some of the best watercraft from some of the top vendors around. The show will be taking place from January 26th-30th at the NRG Center in Houston, with General Admission tickets currently being sold for $15.
The Houston Boat Show will have its 65th iteration this year, and it is the largest indoor boat show on the Gulf Coast. It is a celebration of all things outdoors and boating. Even if you’re not big on boating, this event will have camping equipment, fishing gear, land sports vehicles like ATVs, and more, but the primary focus will be on watercraft.

Galveston
Galveston is an island city less than an hour’s drive from Houston. Galveston is located right on the Gulf of Mexico, with terrific beaches and a thriving tourism economy. It is known for the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, a long pier lined with delicious foods, attractions, and amusement park rides. There are other great tourist attractions, like Moody Gardens, but the natural scenery might be the best feature Galveston offers. Galveston Island State Park is an excellent spot for fishing, kayaking, or canoeing, and the numerous marinas and boat ramps on the island make it a boater’s paradise.
Baytown
Just a short half-hour drive outside of Houston, you’ll find the wonderful waterfront city of Baytown. Baytown is a vital city of the U.S energy industry, home to oil refineries and chemical plants and petrochemical industry leaders like Exxon Mobil and Chevron: These companies help make Baytown an economic powerhouse. Baytown is a pleasant place to live, as it is right along several Bays that lead out into the Gulf of Mexico. It is a wonderful town with numerous parks, museums, and attractions, and boaters have access to boat ramps, rentals, and marinas.
Texas City
Texas City is located just across the water from Galveston and is a short drive away from Houston. Texas City is based along the Galveston Bay; only a short boat ride away from the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It is a port city that is important in the transportation industry and the petrochemical industry, making it a city with a large economic impact. Homes are extremely affordable in this city, and while it certainly has an industrial feel, boaters will find much to enjoy here. Getting on the water is easy with marinas, rentals, and ramps, and the areas surrounding Texas City are fun to explore and fish.
