We’ve covered the key things to expect in Connecticut for 2024.
Exciting Events Year-Round
Connecticut hosts various major events throughout the year. Hartford’s Connecticut Golf Show, the state’s largest golf event, is scheduled for March, and the annual CT Beer Fest is scheduled for April 20th. Later in the year, attend the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival or the 50th Annual Milford Oyster Festival in August.
Trending Activities
During the spring and summer, Hammonasset Beach emerges as a prime destination for fishing, surfing, strolling along the boardwalk, observing wildlife, and enjoying breathtaking sunsets. The gardens and the turtle habitat are popular places to see while there.
Other worthwhile experiences highly favored by locals and tourists include visiting the Connecticut Wine Trail, the Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford, and the Mystic Aquarium.
Modest Real Estate Scene
Based on December 2023 data from Redfin, Connecticut’s median home sale price is just under $380,000, and homes remain on the market for about 39 days. While the number of homes for sale have shown a steady decline, just 14.6% of residences incurred price drops. Overall, there’s been a notable 13% price increase in homes for sale throughout Connecticut. All things considered, the current real estate market appears to favor sellers rather than buyers.
