With the arrival of 2024, it’s the perfect time to look ahead toward what this year will bring. Let’s explore the key things to anticipate in Scottsdale this year and delve into the prospects of the city’s real estate market moving forward.

A Packed Events Calendar

Rarely does a week go by without Scottsdale hosting a major sporting event, concert, festival, or other occasion. This has been the case for many years and is poised to continue throughout 2024. Let’s take a look at some of the most significant events coming to Scottsdale in the upcoming months.

In February, both residents and visitors will flock to the renowned TPC Scottsdale golf course for the annual Waste Management Phoenix Open. Also, the city hosts a multi-week-long Celebration of Fine Art event from mid-January to late March.

Even if you aren’t looking to attend specific events, Scottsdale offers incredible golf courses, a vibrant arts scene, Frank Lloyd Wright-designed architecture, and a charming Old Town with meticulously preserved historical buildings. In 2024, the city will continue to deliver the same, with plenty of new restaurants and shops set to open, promising new experiences and events to enjoy.

A Competitive Real Estate Market

Scottsdale’s real estate market is particularly competitive. Affordable options are scarce compared to other parts of the Arizona market, and that’s unlikely to change in 2024.

According to Rocket Homes, the median sold price for residences in Scottsdale reached $800,050 in December of 2023. Although this number has declined year-over-year, it remains substantially higher than both the national and state average sales prices.

As a rapidly growing city with a lot to offer, Scottsdale is a compelling choice for homebuyers willing to invest in the city’s exciting events and experiences. Not to mention, Scottsdale is part of the Phoenix area and benefits from access to a robust economy, contributing to its affluent status.
