Events to Attend

Colorado Springs hosts numerous major events popular among both residents and visitors. So, what can we look forward to in 2024?

Territory Days in Old Colorado City, scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, is a showcase of the area’s extensive history. It presents live performances, over 100 food and craft booths, and Wild West reenactments.

Summer is the busiest time of the year in the Colorado Springs area, featuring the Manitou Springs Wine Festival, the El Paso County Fair in Calhan, the Top of the World Rodeo in Cripple Creek, and the Rocky Mountain State Games

Fall offers its own array of experiences, including the Labor Day Lift Off, the largest hot-air balloon festival in Colorado, and the Pikes Peak Marathon, a physically demanding race on a steep incline.

Real Estate Trends

Surrounded by mountains and with ample job opportunities, Colorado Springs has become a sought-after segment of the Colorado real estate market. Home prices in the city remain high, and this trend is expected to persist throughout 2024.

According to Redfin, the median sale price in the city stood at $425,000 entering 2024. This was a modest increase from the previous year. The number of homes sold above the asking price also experienced a slight uptick in 2023, a trend likely to continue as the city’s real estate market heats up. Typically, home prices and buyer activity surge during the summer months, potentially leading to another notable increase in prices this year.

Colorado Springs, with its charming neighborhoods such as Cedar Heights, Manitou Springs, and Old Colorado City, remains an appealing metropolis for potential buyers. While we can’t predict the specifics of the 2024 market, expect a strong year ahead.
