Hawaii Food & Wine Festival Returns for 13th Annual Celebration

Hawaii’s rich culinary scene, influenced by Polynesian and East Asian flavors, enhances the allure of this tropical paradise. The upcoming 13th annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival continues to celebrate the state’s outstanding food and drink culture.

The Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, having grown into the state’s largest food and wine celebration, is a can’t-miss occasion for foodies nationwide. It consists of several major events across the state. The Island of Hawaii’s festival is scheduled for October 20th to 21st, while Oahu will be hosting the festival from November 2nd to 5th. Maui’s festival will be in Spring 2024. 

The festival will feature acclaimed industry figures, including master chefs, wine and spirit producers, mixologists, and many others. In addition to satisfying their taste buds, visitors will find it is also an incredible opportunity to experience and learn about Hawaii’s fascinating culture.

The Kamehameha School’s Indigenous World Cuisines at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel marks the beginning of the festival on October 20th. Ten esteemed chefs representing indigenous groups from around the world will showcase their culinary traditions and unique ingredients, creating an amazing feast for attendees. From North American tribes to Native Hawaiians, these chefs will demonstrate time-honored centuries-old cooking methods.

Kids Foodie Fest: This is an immensely popular part of the festival. It features celebrity chefs who craft delectable, kid-friendly dishes at various stations specifically designed to inspire a passion for food in people of all ages.

Far East Street Ph’east: The Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach hosts this event, mirroring the tradition of Asian Night Markets, where chefs serve up Eastern street food classics. 

Crush’d: The Hawaii Convention Center in Oahu will host this major showcase focused on delicious beverages. Numerous wineries will offer samples and exclusive deals, complemented by mixologists and food pairings. 

The Art of Food & Wine: This event, ideal for art enthusiasts, hosts the annual Halekulani Gala. Various artists will exhibit their works in multiple mediums, encompassing sculpture, painting, and augmented reality (AR). Culminating the evening, award-winning chefs from across the world will serve dishes with artistic flair.
