Todd Davis and Rob Brown joined their shared passion for classic architecture, discerning environments, and extraordinary craftsmanship to create Brown Davis Architecture & Interiors in 1994.
Brown Davis has designed two residences for President and Secretary of State Clinton, The British Embassy residence and an array of exceptional projects involving modern and classical architectural designs as well as historic renovations. Brown Davis is based at the iconic 1111 Lincoln Road complex on Miami Beach, Florida. The saturated hues, tropical landscape and design mecca of Miami have influenced a bold aesthetic that resists conformity. It is instead a uniquely American perspective, fusing the traditional roots of classicism, with an international, modern, sensual vitality.
Brown Davis offers architectural, interior and landscape design. All elements are designed in unison with a strong attention to local building codes and construction details. Their projects have no geographic boundaries.

As it gets cooler and people are looking to spend more time inside, what would you recommend for someone who’s looking to update their indoor living space?
Adding throws, new decorative pillows and plants is always a good way to update a room. With long lead times and some products not even being available, it is best to keep it simple if you want a quick update.
What are some of your tips for freshening up an interior space from summer to fall?
The use of interior plants has returned and we suggest selecting a tree for the corner of a room. Make sure it is light tolerant to your specific conditions. Also add decorative plants to mantles and other appropriate areas to your room.
What kind of design requests do you often see from clients?
Not one of our projects is identical to another. Clients come to us for the creative creation of a look that suits their desired design direction whether it be modern, transitional or artfully updating an historic structure and making it livable for today.
Aside from decor, are there other changes that people are seeking in their homes?
Yes, as we practice both architecture and interior design we are frequently hired to upgrade architecture and room layouts as well as create sophisticated lighting incorporated within the new architecture. Good lighting makes all the difference and improves any room.
Any upcoming projects that you’re excited about and would love to share?
We have a slate of projects that range from renovations and decoration of large penthouses and condos to the renovation and decoration of a large Ocean Front contemporary house to the compete new design of a Mediterranean bay front home to an interiors renovation and decoration of a 1940’s period residence to the renovation and decoration Northeast ocean front beach house.
