The Fairgrounds is the site of many important events, including the San Diego County Fair and many other thrilling family occasions. One of the most appealing aspects of Del Mar is that it gives residents some of the top benefits of small-town living. The crime rate in Del Mar is extremely low. The total crime rate, according to Areavibes, is 22% lower than the national average, while the violent crime rate is 52% lower than the national average. It is the kind of place where people feel safe walking around at night.

Another great aspect of Del Mar life is the gorgeous real estate options. While the prices are high, the city has some jaw-dropping luxury homes. For buyers with a high budget, you’ll find palatial mansions and contemporary beachside homes that are sure to excite.

A major contributor to this number is residents’ proximity to high-paying jobs. Since Del Mar is only 25 minutes away from San Diego, residents have access to some excellent work opportunities in the big city.

San Diego has a noteworthy economy, with a thriving tech industry that drives much of its growth. Numerous massive companies are headquartered in San Diego and offer high-paying jobs for those in the area. Companies such as Qualcomm, Petco, and Scripps Health have their primary offices in San Diego, and other major companies like Apple, Amazon, and Deloitte have offices in the city.
