Mission Beach

Mission Beach is one of San Diego’s most well-known beaches, sought out for surfing, beach volleyball, and waterfront relaxation. In addition to hanging out on the sand or in the ocean, visitors can enjoy a stroll along a two-mile oceanfront boardwalk or a fun time at the historic boardwalk amusement park.

Windansea Beach

Windansea Beach is a large beach in La Jolla known for its massive surf breaks, strong currents, and rocky conditions. Windansea Beach’s large waves have given it a reputation as a surf spot favored by experienced surfers. A surf shack on the quiet and scenic beach has been designated as a national historic place.

Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach is a popular beach and neighborhood in San Diego. The spacious beach is a haven for surfers, swimmers, and sunbathers. Surf and swim areas are separated, making the experience safer for everyone. The area is known for its trendy boutiques and cafes nearby, along with its status as one of San Diego’s busiest areas for nightlife.

Coronado Beach

Coronado Beach is on the south side of Coronado Island, spanning from the legendary Hotel del Coronado to Sunset Park. Surfing, relaxing by the water, visiting nearby shops and restaurants, or taking a waterfront hike across this beach are excellent ways to spend a day in Coronado.

Balboa Pier Beach

The vast and expansive Balboa Pier Beach in Newport Beach is one of the top destinations in Orange County. Balboa Pier is a favorite fishing locale and is home to a restaurant with an incredible view.

Huntington City Beach

Huntington City Beach, over 3.5 miles long, has a huge municipal pier. While this beach is consistently busy, its sheer size provides plenty of space to find a pleasant spot to enjoy. Huntington City Beach is also the site of several professional volleyball and surfing events.

Main Beach

Main Beach is the primary beach in Laguna and one of the most visited parts of this vibrant city. Its large boardwalk runs along the sand and is frequented by walkers and cyclists. The gorgeous water, soft sand, and crashing waves create a picturesque setting, and many of Laguna’s top attractions are just steps from the beach.

Bolsa Chica State Beach

Bolsa Chica State Beach draws hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The massive beach stretches for over three miles, so finding space won’t be a problem, even on a busy day. It is a destination for surfers of all experience levels, anglers, or those seeking to experience a classic Orange County beach bonfire.
