According to Redfin, in November 2023, the median sale price of a home in Providence, the largest city in the state, was $415,000. In Warwick, another major Rhode Island City, the median sale price was $365,000. These are reasonable prices and generally comparable to the national average. 

The Rhode Island lifestyle boasts significant perks, particularly in its scenic outdoor havens. Renowned as a maritime destination, the state’s harbors and marinas come alive with watercraft during the summer, making it an ideal locale for sailing and boating enthusiasts. And the soft-sand beaches, especially in Newport and Narragansett, serve as premier summer hotspots, offering recreational activities such as surfing and fishing. 

For those seeking on-land adventures, Rhode Island has numerous appealing hiking destinations, including Wolf Hill Forest Preserve, Arcadia Management Area, and Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. Also, Rhode Island garners fame for its scenic golf courses, biking trails, and sprawling public parks.

In Newport, the Newport Folk Festival in July, the Newport Jazz Festival in August, and the Newport International Boat Show in September, are among the eagerly awaited gatherings.
