That means residents can access some excellent local wines and enjoy tours and tastings at many of its local wineries.

Long Island’s food is world-renowned. Like many other places in New York, Long Island is known for its delicious pizza, with restaurants like Saverio’s and Little Vincent’s offering delicious slices. One of the best parts of living on Long Island is its convenience to Manhattan and the rest of New York City. Although Long Island is densely populated, there are still many towns and cities that feel very distant from the crowds and noise of New York. Many choose to live on Long Island and commute to the city.

Many will take the Long Island Railroad to work daily or ferry to and from New York City. Many choose to drive, although traffic can be a concern. Regardless, Long Island is an accessible distance from the city but can feel worlds apart.
