Katharine McPhee has recently decided to part ways with her Spanish-style Los Angeles home.

As you would expect with most celebrities, Katharine McPhee is not one to compromise on her real estate properties. Located in what is termed as one of Los Angeles’ best neighborhoods, Hollywood Hills, the property holds a 3527 sq. ft. area on a private lot and is enlisted on the market for a whopping $2.695 million demand.

Fred Thomas (The Agency) and Kelly Viavattine (NDA Real Estate) have been handed over the responsibility as listing agents for this property.

The 38-year-old American singer and actress made her debut in the Hollywood industry by starring in American Idol. The runner-up of American Idol’s season 5 quickly caught up with the acting side. With leading roles in movies, including Shark Night and The House Bunny, the highlight of her acting career remains 2012’s musical season Smash.

A look inside Katharine’s 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom property shows that she lives in properties that are no less than a mansion. Originally built in the 1930s for another star of that time, Agnes Ayres, the property was renovated to a more modernistic look while keeping its traditional grace intact.

A work of aesthetics in itself, the property boasts exquisite details. The celebrity has not shied away from letting in the light with big windows throughout the house. Built-in shelves that save space and wooden beams accentuate the property’s overall charm.

Step inside the living room, and you’ll get a site of the classic yet contemporary Spanish architecture. The wooden floors and ceilings add glamour, while the white stone fireplace stands out and makes it a picturesque sight. The arched doorways and skylights give another dimension of quaintness.

A gourmet kitchen is nestled on the ground floor, complete with quartz marble countertops, Viking appliances, a wine fridge, and custom cabinetry with nothing less than Italian hardware. The chef-inspired kitchen also has its very own sunny breakfast nook to enjoy mornings in style. The kitchen is connected to a formal dining room. And if that isn’t enough, French doors on the side of the dining room open up to an entire terrace.

Onto the rooms, the main level has a suite and another room. The suite is fully refurbished with wood paneling and an attached full bath. The second bedroom has a private entrance.

The primary ensuite bedroom is on the second floor and includes a fireplace, a spa-inspired bathroom with a tub and enclosed shower-space both, and a dual walk-in closet. A second bedroom on this level offers a balcony with mesmerizing views and a sunroom.

The last level of the interior area – the lower level, has a family room with a wet bar in it, too. The doors of this room open up to a motor court, otherwise a large space to gather cars and people. The area encompasses a two-car garage and another ensuite bedroom.

Last but definitely not least, the outdoor space is as extraordinary as the interior. It has a courtyard ideal for outdoor gatherings or dinners. There’s a built-in barbecue place in the corner, open-air sitting, and another fireplace; we’re guessing the original architect was huge on fireplaces. On the other hand, the backyard is a sight for sore eyes with trees in a line and an entire lawn.
