In recent years, Formula One (F1) has seen a significant surge in popularity nationwide. It is hard not to enjoy watching superstar athletes crisscrossing the globe, racing in cars from world-renowned manufacturers that can reach speeds well over 200 miles per hour.

Formula One has scheduled three races in the country: Miami hosted the Crypto.com Grand Prix in May, and Las Vegas will wrap things up in November with the Heineken Silver Grand Prix, but first, October brings the Lenovo Grand Prix to Austin.

The Formula One United States Grand Prix (USGP) has a rich history of racing in America, dating back to various events since 1908. While it has taken place at different locations throughout its history, it currently finds its official home in Austin, Texas, at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). This year, all eyes in the racing world will be on Austin as the USGP returns to COTA, featuring a jam-packed slate of exciting events.

With its expansive racetrack, COTA’s venue can comfortably accommodate the thousands of spectators expected to attend. The event unfolds over three action-packed days. The first day, October 20th, is dedicated to practice, allowing drivers to test their cars. October 21st is all about qualifying, as racers compete to establish their position for the final race. Culminating on October 22nd, drivers will engage in the main event, racing to be the first to complete 56 laps around COTA.

Anticipation for this race is significant for several reasons. For starters, Red Bull and the world-famous superstar Max Verstappen are in the midst of a historic year. Verstappen has already solidified his position as the best driver in the world at the moment, and he’s aiming for his third consecutive victory in the USGP.

Meanwhile, the legendary driver for Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton, is also hoping to make history. Although Mercedes hasn’t been as dominant this year, Hamilton will be determined to secure his 7th victory in this race, further cementing his record.

Also notable, this is the first USGP since 2015 that will feature an American driver. Young prospect Logan Sargeant is set to make his debut at COTA, and he is likely to receive a warm response from fans.

Beyond the thrilling race, the USGP promises to deliver an incredible spectacle. Attendees can look forward to concerts by world-renowned performers, including Adam Lambert + Queen and The Killers. Also, there will be a variety of on-site dining options, an immersive village with numerous F1-themed attractions, and races featuring lower-tier drivers.

Tickets are still available for the Formula One United States Grand Prix, with prices varying according to location, date, and the desired level of hospitality. Regardless of where you sit and what day you attend, this event will prove to be a unique and exciting experience.
