Grade school trips to the Roosevelt and Vanderbilt mansions in Hyde Park NY kindled my love of design. During an update of the country club, I worked at through HS and college, I was exposed to Carleton Varney’s style of bright colors and practicality which still shines through in my work.

An Associate’s Degree in Interior Design led to the joy of working for a designer in the picturesque town of Millbrook NY. Not only was I exposed to old world craftsmanship and design, the proximity to NYC showrooms and market shows colored my style with those desirable modern touches. Restocking her store from these venues kept me current with trends and taught me to present a comfortable, practical and stylish space. Seeing the new pieces get delivered was always a highlight of any project!

A Kohler kitchen and bath showroom in CT, specialty kitchens in Los Angeles and a custom home builder in Southeast MI followed through the years and culminated with “Interiors by Suzanne” in 1998.

We rebranded to Your Eminent Domain in 2006 with the relocation to the Cincinnati area. In 2021 I accomplished a long time goal of obtaining my NCIDQ! My growing attachment to the Norris Lake area, and a lake homeowner, dovetailed with the rapid pace of new construction and assisting with classic designs that wanted a little updating.

The next plans for Your Eminent Domain are to expand to the Knoxville area and become a part of this growing city! I can’t wait to work with you on your project!!
