What’s often referred to as the biggest small town in Texas is home to the river walk, The Alamo and the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs. It is the second largest city in Texas right after Houston. Between the year 2015 and 2016, it became the 3rd fastest growing large city in the U.S. It offers beautiful sceneries, a thriving food scene and steady job growth.

Here are a few things to know and a few reasons to consider San Antonio as your next home!

Sunny Weather

Each year San Antonio has 300 days of sunshine and barely any winter. The highest temperature recorded at 111 degrees fahrenheit. Luckily almost everywhere is air conditioned and swimming pools are in great supply.

Historical landmarks

Alamo is considered one of the top tourist attractions in Texas and is located at the heart of San Antonio.What is now a museum was once a historic Spanish Mission founded in the 18th century by Catholic missionaries, it also was the site of the battle of Alamo. Other landmarks include the Natural Bridge Caverns and the Missions. If you prefer to learn more about history, art and architecture, there are a few museums you can visit. Check out the McNay Museum, the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Witte Museum. The city has many unique options perfect for you and your family.

From Tex Mex to Bbq, San Antonio does not disappoint when it comes to food. Many restaurants have a Mexican influence serving favorites such as chips, salsa, tamales and more. You can also get the best burgers from the popular chain whataburger which has its headquarters in San Antonio.

There are many things to do in San Antonio from the Sea World to different parks to six Flags! You won’t run out of things to do in this fun city. The city also offers a world-class zoo.

San Antonio offers many great shopping options. Many major brands can be found in close proximity of the city. For more upscale shopping check out Rivercenter mall and North Star Mall. Other options include Southpark Mall, the Rolling Oaks Mall, La Cantera Mall among others.
