The Virginia Wine Festival is a tradition that stretches back nearly 50 years in the state. This will be its 46th year. It was created to shine a spotlight on the great wine and food Virginia has to offer and to provide an exciting fall event residents can look forward to.

The Virginia Wine Festival will be an exciting occasion with many quality wines to sample from some of the famed wineries highly regarded within the state. The Virginia Wine Festival will take place from October 1st-2nd at One Loudoun in Ashburn, Virginia. It will be an event with food, entertainment, and, most importantly, plenty of drinks.

The event has thus far announced 15 different wineries that will be present at the event, which also includes cider producers. These wineries and cider producers will offer several top options for attendees to sample. Some of the wineries present include Virginia Mountain Vineyards and Mattaponi Winery, all Virginia vineyards with strong reputations.

Beyond the wine and cider, there will also be food options available. This year, the VA Oyster Pavillion will be a new addition to the festival. There are few better pairings than wine and oysters, and this year, the festival is inviting some of the top oyster producers in the state to showcase the best they have to offer. There will be thousands of fresh oysters from the Chesapeake Bay and dishes that feature oysters.

Oysters aren’t the only food option you’ll find at the Virginia Wine Festival. There will also be numerous food trucks from local gourmet vendors. Food options will accommodate several dietary restrictions, so vegan and gluten-free attendees don’t need to stress. The general admission ticket costs $42 and includes a wine tasting glass, unlimited tastings from all the wineries and cider producers, and access to the oyster pavilion, musical performances, and concessions. The VIP tickets, which cost $84, include one-hour early admission for private access, exclusive VIP reserve wine tastings, a private tent and bathroom, and all the additional perks of the general admission package.
