Neighboring U.S. Congress and the Supreme Court, the area encompasses a number of communities with hidden gems meant for exploring.

A luxurious condo building that’s new to the neighborhood is Penn Eleven. Rising above a neighborhood hardware store, Frager’s Hardware, the building contains 34 residences.

Frager’s Hardware, at 11th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue SE is a brick building offering typical hardware items. However, in early June 2013, the building burned to the ground.

Developers of Penn Eleven include Perseus Realty, Westbrook Partners, and Javelin 19 Investments, who worked together to build the two structures in unison.
