The Texas Children’s Houston Open Returns This Spring

The Texas Children’s Houston Open is set to return to Texas for its 79th annual tournament from Monday, March 24th, to Sunday, March 30th. Taking place at the Memorial Park Golf Course, this highly anticipated PGA TOUR event comes just two weeks before the 2025 Masters.

First established in 1946, the Houston Open has paved the way for players like Byron Nelson and Bobby Locke to become golf champions. This year, an impressive lineup of the world’s finest golfers will compete for a $9.5 million purse and 500 FedExCup points.

The 2025 tournament, in partnership with the youth sports and education nonprofit Astros Foundation, features notable players, including past champions like 2024’s Stephan Jäger, 2023’s Tony Finau, and 2022’s Jason Kokrak.

Tournament week begins with Monday’s Jim Crane Celebrity Pro-Am, presented by Woodforest Bank, on March 24th, 2025. After Tuesday’s player practice rounds, Wednesday brings another Pro-Am, presented by Cadence Bank. During these events, participants will have the opportunity to play 18 holes alongside some of golf’s finest competitors.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mark the first, second, and third rounds of the tournament, followed by the final round and official awards ceremony on Sunday.

The Houston Open is a standout stop on the PGA TOUR, offering golf fans an opportunity to engage closely with the sport. Participants in the Pro-Ams will receive gift bags, along with credentials and parking passes. Spectators have multiple viewing options, from general admission grounds to clubs with premier views of the greens and private hospitality venues with five-star amenities.

Tickets for the Houston Open are available for purchase online, with prices starting at $69 for one day of general grounds access.
