Soul Space Design is a rising firm that has worked on interiors across the globe, enhancing them with an elegant, functional style that maximizes their space while making them inviting and chic.
Soul Space Design is the brainchild of Olga Zhytniuk, a Ukrainian designer who founded the company in 2016 to fulfill her lifelong passion. Although Soul Space has recently leaned toward commercial designs, Zhytniuk also completes residential projects, including apartments and private houses. When Zhytniuk was a child, she was particularly inspired by the interiors of hangars, factories, and other industrial spaces. Seeing how these spaces, which were never intended for living or comfort, could be transformed with the right material and a commitment to design principles helped foster her love for design that persists to this day.
Zhytniuk began her interior design career at a Kyiv architecture firm in 2009. After working there for seven years, Zhytniuk sought out the opportunity to focus on her own visions and launched Soul Space.
Zhytniuk maintains a close partnership with the architecture firm she worked with, and they have collaborated on some major projects, including a cottage town called Alma Terra near Kyiv. This project was, unfortunately, disrupted by the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Soul Space often tackles projects that have an industrial look, such as large, open spaces with concrete or brick walls. Zhytniuk enlivens these spaces with flashes of color, stylish lighting, and a uniform aesthetic that create a comfortable and cohesive space. Zhytniuk has a flexible style that she alters depending on the area, but she mainly centers her work around harmony, comfort, and functionality. She imbues a room with a positive atmosphere while ensuring it remains a useful and efficient space.

Zhytniuk’s lifelong passion for her work is reflected in her results, and she says that seeing the happy eyes of her customers after a job well done is a big motivator for her success.
