Miami Art Week transforms South Florida into a vibrant hub for art enthusiasts, featuring dozens of art shows, public installations, galas, parties, and gallery openings. Amid this global celebration of art, design, and culture, the SCOPE Art Show stands out as a particularly significant event. An annual international contemporary art fair, SCOPE spotlights emerging creators and galleries from around the world, making it a cornerstone of Miami Art Week.
SCOPE Art Show is dedicated to showcasing innovative galleries and up-and-coming artists, making it the perfect destination for those seeking the next generation of leaders in the art world. The show originally launched in New York in 2001 as an intimate showcase for emerging artists. Today, its Miami iteration is a major component of Miami Art Week, hosting dozens of galleries and presenting works by groundbreaking artists.
This year, SCOPE runs from December 3rd to December 8th at the SCOPE Miami Beach Pavilion, an oceanfront venue offering a stunning backdrop for this premier art event.
SCOPE’s flagship New Contemporary multidisciplinary programming allows visitors to immerse themselves in large-scale installations, musical performances, and thought-provoking panel discussions. Adding a wellness dimension, this initiative also offers guided meditations and healing-based activities during the day. By night, the venue transforms into a vibrant nightlife hotspot with music and dancing along Miami Beach.
“Interdependence” is this year’s theme for New Contemporary installations and programming at SCOPE Miami, emphasizing the power of collaboration. This focuses on the interconnectedness of individuals, communities, and global networks, aligning seamlessly with the event’s international and collaborative spirit.
SCOPE Miami will feature three primary sectors—Photo Basel + SCOPE, Futures, and CORE—each focusing on different aspects of contemporary art. These sectors are designed to make the fair more navigable for visitors, categorizing galleries and works by their distinctive offerings:
- Photo Basel + SCOPE promises to merge the high-quality, museum-grade art curation of SCOPE with the unique, European-inspired aesthetic of Photo Basel.
- Futures provides a platform for emerging galleries, highlighting works from young, innovative artists and fresh perspectives.
- CORE emphasizes established galleries and influential artists, spotlighting their contributions to the evolving contemporary art landscape.
