Spanning 550 acres on the scenic Baja Peninsula, Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse, the first fully branded and standalone residential community from Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, will be in Los Cabos, Mexico. To execute the project, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts partnered with the esteemed Coppel family, who have created prominent hotel and resort companies throughout Mexico. The Coppels have meticulously preserved the site for Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse for 25 years, maintaining its pristine white-sand beaches along the ocean, dramatic cliffs, and El Faro Viejo “The Old Lighthouse,” which was erected in 1905 and is the oldest standing structure in the region.
The vision for the project is to create a community offering immersive experiences that promote discovery and exploration. This is a core value for all of Rosewood Hotel & Resort’s 34 developments across 21 countries, such as The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York, and Rosewood São Paulo. As part of that aim, this community’s design is intended to blend and harmonize with the surrounding picturesque landscape. Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse will feature 144 unique and luxurious homes with 4,000 to 10,000 square feet of interior living space on 0.7-acre lots. These residences will be designed by Studio Lifestyle, Guadalajara-based architects, and Gomez Vazquez International with an emphasis on indoor-outdoor living, timeless elegance, and quality craftsmanship.
