James Hennis is currently working full time as an architectural, event, and nature photographer based near Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He began traveling at an early age, and enjoyed time living in South America before pursuing a bachelors degree in International Economics from the University of Southern Mississippi. While living in Brazil, he learned to speak fluent Portuguese and served as an English teacher for 3 years. His love for travel and writing has led him to a professional career in photography, which was inspired by his visits to new geographic locations and his experience with different cultures. The decision to work as a professional photographer has become his principal focus, and has led him to a career that he loves. He enjoys photographing architecture, nature, and events and has had the privilege to photograph birthday parties for charity recipients throughout Mississippi. A true love for nature and the great outdoors continues to fuel his passion to grow as a photographer. Photography for him is like a garden, and each year something new is planted and grown. James uses his photography as a way of writing and sharing his unique perspective with the world; A perspective that others can possibly appreciate and be motivated by. A perspective that is as broad as the mind which shares it. His passion and love for traveling has continued to develop and grow over the years and is something that comes from his heart and soul.
