Andy Murray's Brickell Condo Sells for $2.375 Million
Andy Murray, the number one ranked tennis player in the world, recently sold his Jade Residences condo in Miami's Brickell neighborhood, closing for $2.375 million.
Records show Murray purchased the home in 2008 for $1.575 million, netting him $800,000 on the sale price.
About the condo:
Most recent list price: $2,500,000
3,415 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms
Largest available floorplan in the building
About the transaction:
Murray’s team commented that the sale came at a good time because of the strength of the dollar.
The condo was listed and delisted multiple times since November of 2015, until Jon Jacobs of City Group International Realty served up the sale. Born and raised in Miami, Jacobs was laudatory of the experience in working with Murray. “Kimberly (Murray’s wife), Andy, and his team could not have been more pleasant to deal with. It’s as if each meeting was as cozy as a cup of tea! I truly haven’t had nicer clients.”
Jacobs was surprised about one thing, "...not one prospective buyer that looked at the apartment was buying for press. Like in NYC, I could have sold the apartment 10 times over to clients for the notoriety. For example, I worked for Diego Della Valle in the past, and others, that bought and sold real estate just to get their product in editorials. I have one client from the UK that is opening a store here. I told them, buy the apartment and it will get more press than your 5 stores opening.”
