Guide to Weekend Getaway in The Hamptons

The Hamptons, known for its sweeping white sand beaches and garden-lined homes, is a blissful mix of charming shops, award-winning restaurants, vineyards and fresh fruit stands. This relaxed beachtown is one that also happens to be frequented by affluent New Yorkers and celebs.

To Stay

Rentals can be tricky since more often than not there for a week or more and airbnbs  may be limited as well. For the best experience, opt for one of the several charming inns scattered across the Hamptons Bay area.

Our suggestion would be a room (or more) at THE INN AT WINDMILL LANE. Located in the Hamlet of Amagansett, this inn provides a number of charming cottages to choose from. Lovely amenities include a wood burning fireplace, wet bar, Duxiana Bed, and private bluestone patio.

If you’re going with a family or larger group, reserve the prestigious 21 House. This immaculate four-bedroom private home includes four king beds, four private bathrooms, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, spa treatment room, and grand Michelangelo bathtub.

To Play

Take advantage of the sprawling wine country in the Hamptons and enjoy an afternoon at the WOLFFER ESTATE VINEYARD in Sagaponack. When you arrive, take a tour of the grand European-inspired estate and sip on a refreshing glass of local wine.

If you’re a fashion lover, the Hamptons are abound with a range of shops from luxury boutiques to retail pop-up shops. Some of our favorites include Kirna Zabête and REFORMATION BEACH HOUSE in East Hampton and JAYSON HOME in South Hampton.

The Hamptons is also home to some of the best yoga and workout classes. Top fitness studios include Barry’s Bootcamp, SoulCycle, and Tracy Anderson.

For a relaxing yoga experience, try ONE OCEAN YOGA at Channing Daughters Vineyard in Bridgehampton.

To Eat

Upon arriving to The Hamptons, there’s nothing better than having a delicious brunch with some of your closest friends or loved ones!

ESTIA’S LITTLE KITCHEN is by far a breakfast staple. Located on the outskirts of Sag Harbor, this charming spot is serving up Southwestern dishes like Huevos Bravo (sliced skirt steak with poached eggs) and George’s Ranch Taco (toasted flour tortilla with eggs, avocado, beans and salsa).

With fresh ingredients taken directly out of their outdoor garden and fantastic hot coffee, this cafe is a must-visit.

If you’re in the mood for more of a quick bite, head to THE BEACH BAKERY in Westhampton Beach. This adorable bakery offers legendary baked goods like raspberry croissants, coconut truffles, and cinnamon buns.

When you need to cool off after spending a couple hours at the beach, head over to THE LOBSTER ROLL in Amagansett for some of the best lobster rolls in New York. With its hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, this seaside restaurant is a popular choice among locals.

For an elegant night out, enjoy a sophisticated dinner at BISTRO ETE, which will instantly transport you to the coast of France.

Indulge in French cuisine with savory specialities like the House Made Pellegrino Pappardelle in a Braised Short Rib Cream Sauce or the New York Strip Steak with Garlic Parsley Butter, Potato Poppers & Mixed Greens.
