Celebrate 14 Years of Flavor at This Year’s Hawaii Food & Wine Festival

Kaanapali, Maui

Hawaii’s culinary heritage, a vibrant blend of East Asian and Polynesian influences, is showcased in this year’s 14th annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival. As Hawaii’s largest food and wine event, this festival is a must-attend for food and wine aficionados across the nation. With an impressive lineup of exciting activities across the islands, attendees can look forward to interactive experiences, delightful flavors, and unforgettable memories as they celebrate the state’s rich food and beverage culture.

The festival kicked off on October 18th on the Island of Hawaii, continues in Kaanapali, Maui, from October 25th to 27th, and wraps up on Oahu from November 6th to 10th.

This year’s festival features a host of mixologists, master chefs, winemakers, and spirits experts. In addition to indulging in exquisite dishes and drinks, attendees will have the opportunity to explore and celebrate Hawaii’s rich cultural heritage.

The festivities began with Lucky Dragon at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, where Martin Yan and nine other chefs featured unique dishes inspired by their Asian American heritage.

Following this, a series of highly anticipated events await. Let’s explore some of the festival’s highlights:

Backcourt BBQ: At Maui’s Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows, attendees will come together for a Sunday brunch, where seven chefs and BBQ pitmasters will serve up a feast of grilled, smoked, and flame-kissed dishes, all crafted with expertly seasoned, Hawaii-sourced ingredients.

Behind the Cellar Door: At the Hawaii Convention Center, wine connoisseurs and award-winning chefs will share insights into crafting the world’s finest wines. Guests will also have the chance to meet renowned chefs in person.

Global Culinary Finesse: Held at Oahu’s Halekulani, this cocktail reception and five-course dinner gala honors and supports the partnership between the Culinary Institute of the Pacific and the Culinary Institute of America.

Spice Market: The festival concludes in Oahu with Spice Market, an event showcasing dishes inspired by Hawaii’s historic Silk Road trade routes. Renowned chefs will present their creations, paired with wine and cocktails, before the evening closes with a fireworks show.
