Would you say that now is a good time to buy in Dallas?
Now is a great time to buy, as there are more homes available, interest rates remain low and home values continue to rise. Many buyers are seeing positive equity in their property, sometimes as early as the close date.
What are the key trends happening now that you expect to have a major impact on Dallas?
Dallas has a strong economy and constant growth. We are one of the leaders in the U.S. for employment and population growth. As businesses and residents flee high-cost coastal markets, they are going to come here. Based on this, the Dallas housing market is predicted to continue the trend of the last few years as one of the strongest markets in the United States.
Whether it’s due to listing price or unique circumstance, what is your most significant sale as of late?
I have a unique background that includes 30 years of customer service, marketing, design and strategic negotiations experience. I love it when a sale allows me to utilize all these skills and this occurred with the sale of 11133 Eastview Circle. This home was a Scott Briggs custom and I was involved in the finish selections. We secured the buyer through an open house event and closed the deal in the home’s kitchen over a bottle of wine. These buyers are now personal friends.
What is your #1 piece of advice for someone looking to buy and/or sell their home?
Enlist the assistance of an established agent. If you’re looking to buy, agents have access to many awesome properties before they hit the Multiple Listing Service. Selling a home is all about property prep, photography and marketing. These factors will drive the most visibility to the largest potential buyer pool.
