4 DFW Restaurants You Must Try this Month

From highly-rated farm-to-table fare to refined steaks from renowned chefs, here are the four restaurants you’ll want to reserve ASAP in the Dallas Fort-Worth area. See below!

1
Heritage Table

This cozy neighborhood spot is the perfect place for warm and inviting dinner in the middle of winter. Located in a 1917 converted Victorian home, Heritage Table offers guests a completely unique dining experience with locally sourced meats and produce, as well as farm-grown ingredients.

All of the delicious options on the menu are completely made from scratch—whether it’s the short rib (carrot-rutabaga mash, fried lacinato kale, horseradish gremolata, beef demiglace, bacon-sage vinaigrette) or mushroom agnolotti (housemade mushroom-stuffed pasta, asiago, spinach-walnut pesto, focaccia croutons, arugula, creme fraiche). A firm believer in the motto “food is personal”, the team behind this incredible restaurant works diligently to find the highest quality ingredients from the best farms, ranches, and artisans in the area.

2
Knife

For an elegant night of fine dining and fantastic steaks, our suggestion would be to head to Knife—the highly acclaimed restaurant by the notable Chef John Tesar. Tesar was recently nominated for a James Beard award and starred as a contestant on Bravo’s “Top Chef”. Knife’s incredible drink menu includes specialty cocktails, as well as craft and locally imported beers.

Knife is the highly anticipated restaurant created by nationally acclaimed, James Beard-nominated and Bravo’s “Top Chef ” contestant Chef John Tesar for The Highland Dallas. It was recently named “Best Steakhouse” in Dallas, Texas, by D Magazine.

Knife’s full bar offers Knife’s full menu, specialty cocktails, our modern take on classic cocktails, local, craft and import beers. We also have a 300+ label wine list with a Sommelier on staff nightly to assist guests to find the exact wine to complement their meal. The highly raved about main course dishes include a variety from Texas-sourced meats to bacon tastings and even a 240-day dry-aged Niman Ranch rib eye.

3
La Palapa del Sabor

After news broke that the beloved Dallas spot Mesa was closing, residents throughout the area were shocked. Yet, soon after the news broke, owner Raul Reyes and chef Olga Sosa announced their plans to open an entirely new restaurant. Let us introduce: La Palapa del Sabor.

This highly anticipated restaurant just opened its doors on January 15, 2020 and will be at the same location as the previous one. The incredible menu takes inspiration from the coastal Mexican city of Veracruz, with an eclectic mix of seafood, quesadillas, several margarita options, and fajitas—all at an affordable price!

4
Ellie’s Restaurant

This chic and upscale eatery is the perfect option for a delicious and luxurious Sunday brunch. Located within the Hall Arts Hotel, Ellie’s Restaurant creates a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere with art displayed throughout the space. The fantastic menu offers diners a plethora of options with Ahi Tartare (Heirloom Radish, Soy Lime Vinaigrette, Sea Salt Chips),  George’s Banks Bronzed Sea Scallops (Heirloom Carrots, Jerusalem Artichokes, Thyme Butter), Little Gem Caesar Salad (Sourdough Crouton, Pickled White Anchovies, Shaved Parmesan), and much more.
